Mental Health Training
Mental Health First Aid Training Programme - Driving and Enabling Culture Change through people
There is a greater need for investing in the mental health of your people, your teams, and your leaders, local communities, and families. Together we can improve our well-being and the well-being of those around us. Consequently, improving your organisational culture and the well-being of surrounding communities.
Personal and Professional stressful experiences or unexpected change can have an impact on our well-being and mental health. We have all faced a life changing transition – having to adapt to a new way of working, thinking, living, being, and going about daily life.
For example, the pandemic has impacted all our lives including: our families, relationships, businesses, communities, our future aspirations and decisions. Inevitably, it has increased our stress levels, raised social and cultural anxiety, and led to overall poor mental health and wellbeing.
We all have Mental Health – everyone, at some point, has had to face an unprecedented situation, testing our resilience in all walks of life.
- Many people’s mental wellbeing is impacted negatively because of work, education, physical health, bereavement, and various other circumstances. These issues can lead to exacerbated stress, anxiety, and mental health decline, which can result towards a poor quality of life and reducing resilience.
- Issues surrounding mental health are a leading cause of staff sickness and long-term absence, resulting in huge individual and organisational costs.
- Creating a mentally healthy workplace culture, environment and a resilient workforce will reduce the risk of work induced stresses.
- Early recognition, support, appropriate conversations, and adaptability will minimise the impact on the person, their family, friends, colleagues, the communities they surround and your organisation.
Our training programmes are bespoke and designed to support individuals to:
- Build their confidence and learn how to recognise symptoms and start a safe, supportive, conversation that makes a difference.
- Learn how to recognise mental health distress, red flags and how they show up and where to seek the support they need.
- Reduce the impact of work-related stressors and poor mental health which leads to declining quality of life. A mentally healthy workplace culture, environment and a resilient workforce will reduce the risk of work induced stresses.
- Support people who are struggling by creating a mentally healthy environment to build individual and team resilience.
